Maintenance Team
This team consists of professional people giving their time to make a difference in the community. These professionals consist of IT specialists, engineers, CA’s, teachers, electricians, plumbers etc. The focus of the Maintenance Team is the Community as a whole and therefor they invest their time and effort on Community buildings. This is the poorest of the poor communities and service delivery buildings such as clinics, are in an abysmal state. After the intervening of our maintenance team that building will suffice for the next 20 years.
They restore buildings such as the home for the elderly, crèche’s, schools, school hostels and even churches, whatever needs fixing.
On one of our community visits before the outreach we spoke to the matron of a School hostel. She told us that there is no hot water for the kids in the shower. This is in one of the coldest places in South-Africa. We could send in the team and they sorted the hot water and 70 children could shower in hot water. We needed a water pump and received a donation to buy this water pump. There are more of these life changing stories as this made a huge difference in these kids’ lives.
Design Team
This is a team with immense potential, energy and creativity to bring colour in these grey morbid buildings. They are also focused on the community and get involved with painting colourful animated and energetic designs on the walls of crèches and community buildings. They work closely together with a play therapist to make sure the correct colour etc. will be used to enhance the kids learning.
