Medical team
We have a team of Medical Doctors, Optometrists, Pharmacists and nursing staff that serve the Community.
Teachers told us that some of the children were unable to see what was written on the chalkboard, and asked whether we could assist with optometrists so that the children’s eyes could be tested. Companies came on board to supply the means to help the children. Some of the clinics told us that they were overwhelmed by the number of people they had to process and asked whether we could assist with screening as this would mean a great deal to them. We could help them with specialized medical care as well as testing blood pressure and cholesterol.
Animal Team
The Animal ministry was formed after community leaders told us that the region’s veterinary surgeons were so snowed under with work that the people often did not have the opportunity to take their animals in for routine tests and operations. This need was yet again conveyed and three veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses offered to help. A classroom in the local primary school was quickly transformed into an operating theatre, and through communication with the veterinary surgeon in the region the team performed 85 operations within three days. It was very clear that the members of the community dearly love their animals. Animal organizations also donated dog and cat food, which we distributed among people with pets. Where there are needs, they are addressed.
